Aurangabad is a city in the western state of Maharashtra and has been a major tourist attraction due to the presence of Ajanta Caves which showcase Buddhist stories and were discovered by British hunters while on a tiger hunting expedition to the site. The group of 29 caves was constructed by Buddhist monks and the paintings and sculptures on the cave walls portray stories from the Jataka tales.  read more »

The Flooring Company Carpet Warranty Scams

Some flooring company’s try to justify their higher prices by selling a customer on the great warranty a carpet manufacture offers. Flooring sales reps tell a customer a carpet is warranted for 20 years to build value in a customer’s mind to justify the high price they are being given. Don’t fall for it!!! A carpet warranty is next to impossible to have enacted.  read more »

The Flooring Company Disposal Fee Scam

Do not pay a disposal fee if you’re buying new carpet ever! Do you want to know why? Of course you do. Flooring companies charge a disposal fee for carpet and pocket it as straight profit. Carpeting installers get paid .07 cents per pound to recycle old carpet and old padding; yes even if the carpet is full of pet stains and smells bad.  read more »

Carpet Padding the Biggest Scam

Customers and flooring companies lose on this one about half the time. A customer will buy a certain type of padding from a flooring company that they want installed with their new carpet. The flooring company then takes the customer’s order and provides the correct ordered padding with new carpet to their contracted carpet installer.  read more »

How Does Your Carpet Come Delivered? Avoiding the Carpet Delivery Rip Off

Once you figure out how much carpet you need you need to ask the manufacture of the carpet or the carpet sales rep how many yards or linear feet are in the role of carpet you are buying. Most 12 foot wide rolls of carpet are 150 feet long so 12’x150’ or 1800SF per roll.  read more »
